There’s No Place Like Holmes!

John A Holmes III, started mowing lawns when he was 9 years old with a radio flyer wagon that his Grandfather converted into his first trailer. He started “John’s Yard Work,” mowing lawns for his neighbors and family friends in Barrington, Rhode Island. John learned the importance of hard work and customer satisfaction at a young age.

While growing up, John continued to service his Country Club Plat neighbors, many of which he still services today, and when he turned 16 he was able to branch out and expand his range to others in the East Bay area. After graduating from St. Andrew’s School and then Roger Williams University, John invested 100% of himself into the Landscape Business.
In 2004 John’s Yard Work became Holmes Landscape Construction Corporation.
Today, John employs 20 plus people with crews and equipment all over the State. Holmes Landscape Construction handles everything from lawn cutting to major site development and everything in between.
